TPI History

Travel Professionals International (TPI) was founded in 1994 by Morris Chia, with the vision of transforming the way in which individuals enter and take part in the travel industry. Using innovative yet proven concepts, the TPI business model maximizes the distribution of travel services at the least possible cost. This has created an accessible, low investment opportunity for people with or without previous travel experience to enter the industry.

Travel Professionals International is recognized as a worldwide leader in travel industry marketing and support services. Our Associates receive immediate and international recognition through our appointment with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and affiliations with such industry organizations as the Cruise Line Industry Association (CLIA), the Association of Canadian Travel Agents (ACTA), the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and provincial license registration under the BC Travel Act and the Travel Industry of Ontario (TICO) councils. Because of our national travel network’s tremendous buying power, Associates of TPI's programs have access to some of the highest commission levels available immediately — something that is not easily attained by individual travel agencies.
