What is Velocity?
WINNIPEG, CANADA - Following previous record-breaking years for its exclusive Velocity agent rewards program since it's inception in 2006, Travel Professionals International (TPI), Canada’s largest network of independent travel consultants, has shattered its own records once again with the release of the 2010 Velocity results.

Velocity is the rewards program launched in 2003 exclusively designed by and available to agents of Travel Professionals International (TPI). TPI has been Canada’s home-based travel agent leader since 1994, with a current base of Associates (what TPI refers to its agents as) of over 800 spread across the entire country. Innovators in the industry, TPI is currently of aware of no other home based agent network in the world that provides a custom-designed exclusive reward program of this depth to its agents.
How does the Velocity program work?
It’s simple - attend events, make commission, support TPI’s Preferred Partners or receive industry designations, and you receive points that go toward great rewards!
What types of rewards are there?
Here is just a few of the rewards that Associates receive at varying levels in the Velocity Program:

Tracking your points is easy!
The state-of-the-art Velocity system uses a custom-developed application on TPI’s technologically advanced agent portal site, called MyTPI. At this site, Associates can easily enter their qualifying Velocity points for participation, designations, etc. into a form. Upon submission of this, Associates are able to easily track their Velocity points over the years and months to compare growth. The system automatically keeps track of their points accumulated from their commission, along with bonus points earned from bookings with Preferred Partners and adds that to their point mix. By analyzing the data that is both entered manually by the Associate and entered automatically by the system, their Velocity designation is then calculated and approved by TPI Head Office in January of each year, for publication by 1 February of each year.
Spirit of Velocity Award
The Spirit of Velocity Award is given out at the annual conference each year to the Associate who has achieved the highest amount of points accumulated each year, regardless of their status level achieved. This shows their commitment to training, education, and participating in TPI and Preferred Partner events and programs.
