Training
One of the pillars of agent development at TPI is our
commitment to
training. Something we are always professing, we
understand how important education and knowledge are in
developing a successful business. We develop a yearly
plan that combines local and national
training
using the latest techniques of tele-training and
web-training, combined with in-person educational
sessions. We have contracts with travel industry experts
to provide this training throughout our program and
regions. We know that understanding the travel business
is just one part of developing a successful enterprise,
so we also bring in business trainers to impart our
agents with knowledge on everything from submitting
taxes as a business (and the advantages that can come
along with that) to performing case studies on learning
from how other industries cope with similar issues.

Marketing
Essential to any successful business, the art and
science of
marketing
goes hand-in-hand with the training that is done
at TPI. We help
Associates &
Affiliates
develop their marketing plans and provide ongoing
consultation on these plans in order to assist our
agents in keeping on top of their home based business
goals and objectives.
Marketing
assistance is provided on a regular basis, whether
it is over the phone consultations, e-mail discussions,
discussion forum posts, or in-person meetings.
National Network
TPI has the largest national network of
independent
and home based agents
in Canada. Our agents help each other out on the
local and national levels through meetings, working
together on trade shows, sharing ideas on the discussion
board, and much more.
As well as TPI's highly skilled Head Office in Winnipeg,
we have Regional Offices in Toronto, Calgary, Regina,
and Vancouver, with more to follow, where members can
pick up brochures, meet with their clients, and more.
The third part of our national network is our Associate
Development Managers (ADMs), which are the regional
extensions of Head Office. ADMs organize
monthly trainings
with suppliers, agent networking and socializing events,
and lend a helping hand to
Associate
&
Affiliate
business needs. ADMs provide that extra level of
local service to our Associates. Currently, we have ADMs
in Southern Alberta, Northern Alberta, Saskatchewan,
Manitoba, Ontario, and Atlantic Canada.
We’ve recently added the new
positions of
Regional Mangers, Western Canada and Eastern
Canada. These positions have been put in place to
support our agents marketing initiatives and supplier
relations from a regional perspective. These mangers
are industry veterans with a proven track record of
excellence in travel.
